Evenings at Pistalks
Alongside everyday dining, we host a small programme of evening events through the season. Each one is built around food, wine and good company. Places for most events are limited and reserved in advance using the form on this page. Regular restaurant tables are not booked here — to reserve an ordinary table, please call +61 7 5587 4468.
All event prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
Coastal Seasonal Dinner
A relaxed, food-focused dinner celebrating the coast and the season, featuring a seasonal starter, a main course inspired by the day’s produce, and dessert.

Wine & Small Plates Evening
A relaxed food-and-wine evening at shared tables, pairing a selection of small plates with Australian wine styles in a tasting format. A warm, social way to explore local wines over good food.

Social Poker Evening
A relaxed card evening and an occasional part of our wider events program, alongside our food and wine evenings. Dining and hospitality stay at the centre of the night. This is a friendly, sociable evening rather than a gaming venue.

Live Acoustic Dinner
Dinner accompanied by soft live acoustic music. The food remains the main purpose of the evening, with gentle music setting an easy, relaxed tone. This is a dinner with music, not a concert or club night.

Chef's Coastal Table
A limited-capacity coastal dining experience across several courses, with a focus on seafood and seasonal produce. An intimate evening for guests who want to settle in for a longer, considered meal.

Restaurant Quiz Evening
A relaxed quiz evening over dinner, with small teams and a friendly mix of general knowledge, food and culture questions, alongside normal restaurant service. A sociable, low-key way to spend a weeknight.

Questions about our evenings
Do I need to reserve an event place?
Yes. Our evenings have limited places, so a reservation request through the form on this page is needed. We will confirm once we have checked availability.
Can I visit Pistalks without attending an event?
Of course. Pistalks is first and foremost a restaurant. You are welcome any time during opening hours for lunch or dinner, with no event required.
How do I reserve a regular restaurant table?
Call us on +61 7 5587 4468. Regular tables are booked by telephone, not through the event form.
Are all events paid?
No. Some evenings, such as the Live Acoustic Dinner and Restaurant Quiz Evening, are based on normal dining with no separate fee. Others have a set price or an event participation fee, shown with each event above.
Can I reserve for several guests?
Yes. Simply note the number of guests on the form, and we will confirm based on available capacity.
What happens if an event is full?
If your chosen evening is fully booked, we will let you know when we respond and, where possible, suggest another date or evening.
How do I cancel an event reservation?
Please contact us by telephone on +61 7 5587 4468 as early as you can. Our cancellation terms are set out in our Terms and Conditions.
Is the Social Poker Evening 18+?
Yes. The Social Poker Evening is an 18+ event, and proof of age may be requested.
Is the Wine & Small Plates Evening 18+?
Yes. As wine tasting is central to the evening, it is marked 18+. An alcohol-free alternative is available on request.
Can I choose an alcohol-free alternative?
Yes. Alcohol is always optional at Pistalks, and alcohol-free alternatives are available across our evenings and our everyday menu.
Does the Social Poker Evening involve real-money gambling?
No. It is a relaxed social card evening with restaurant service. It does not involve real-money gambling, and no cash prizes are offered.
